The Valteorian Empire

Description Valteorians are an amphibious race but, they choose to live in underwater cities mostly. Valteorians are naturally born as omnivores but, they tend to hunt for fish more often than eating water plants. Valteorians also have gills and lungs which allow them to breathe easily in both water and land.

Society Valteorians live in families. Pregnancies last up to six months. Valteorians have an average lifespan of 300 years old. Valteorian males are drafted into the Imperial Army at the age of 25. When admitted into the Imperial service, conscripts are transported to the few islands that dot the surface of the planet. These islands house military facilities and training grounds. Valteorians do not encourage war but will fight if they are attacked first. They are also bound to their underwater world therefore; any damage to it may cause uproar amongst the people.

Houses Valteorians were originally classified under one house, the house of Udar but after the Great Civil War, the Udar house fell apart and broke into two separate houses, the House of Jamai and the House of Iecios. Members of the Jamai wear the golden badge of the Moon while the members of the Iecios possess the golden badge of the Sun. Jamai House members are stronger while Iecios House members are smarter.

Currency Valteorians use bars of Quimsonia, a polished form of Quim. These are highly valuable as they can be melted into Quimarius and Quimanite.

Infantry Weapons V-13 Light Pistol - Valteorian concept of a blaster pistol, light and elegant in shape, this pistol had to be re-energised by small ion cartridges. Though lethal to unarmoured personnel, it is useless to armoured personnel.

V-24 Heavy Pistol � Powerful and lethal to unarmoured personnel. This heavy pistol is used only by officers or security units. It is Re-energised by small ion cartridges too.

V-35 Blaster rifle � Used mainly by all types of infantry units in action. Clean in construction, cheap and powerful. This weapon is versatile in all situations. It is re-energised by ion cartridges.

V- 37 Thermal Detonator � A standard issue to all Valteorian soldiers, this grenade can cause a mini-nuclear explosion.

V-68-T1 Torpedo launcher � This was used as an anti-armour weapon. This version fired a mini-photon torpedo at the target. It also features a tracking sensor built into the scope. Mini photon torpedoes are needed to

V-68-T2 Torpedo launcher � This was the upgraded version of the V-68. This was meant to be an anti-air weapon but was also used as an anti-armour weapon. This version featured a tactical shield fixed to the launcher tube. The HUD on the shield features a magnifier, targeting sensors and a tracking device.

V-26 Sniper Blaster � A weapon used by the best of marksmen. Non-semi-automatic, Single shot only but it can burn through a person from at least 400 m away. This is also re-energised like the blaster rifle.

V-88 Repeating Heavy Blaster � A large blaster that can shoot up to 2000 rounds a minute. Its powerful shots can chew through a tank�s armour if the tank receives a few shots.

V-92X Graviton Cannon- An experimental weapon, this cannon has such a heavy recoil that it is a fixed weapon. It fires a huge amount of gravitational energy that is powerful enough to crush a tank.

V-94X Wave Nullifier Cannon- Another experimental weapon, this weapon emits a wave of ultra-sonic energy that disrupts brain activity and makes people go bonkers.

V- 39 Scuba Torpedo Launcher � A torpedo launcher that works underwater. Although it fires a torpedo, this torpedo does not contain photon energy. Instead, this torpedo carries a payload of blaster energy. These weapons are most commonly used by naval units.

V- 40 Scuba Blaster Rifle- These blasters were designed for taking care of invaders threatening the harmony of the underwater cities of the Valteorian Empire. This blaster fires a shot of pressurized laser at the intended target but, it has a flaw though and that is, that it has an exceptionally short range of up to 40 m only, not really long for a blaster.

V- 48 Pressurised Mine � These were perfect for sabotaging intrusive submersibles in Valteorian waters. Valteorians would swim to the top of the enemy�s submersible and plant a couple of these small but deadly devices and detonate them. The explosion will cause the hull to be breached and allow thousands of gallons of water to rush in and flood the hull, causing the crew to drown.

Infantry armour There are three types of infantry armour. They are: Planetary Variation Spatial Variation Scuba Variation

Planetary Variation � These armours are a mix of the Kredigorr Hunter Fish�s armour-like scales and Quimarius, the first and most basic form of the metal, Quim. These armours come with personal deflector disks, a linked helmet that comes with a visor that displays the HUD of the armour, a belt that has spare ion cartridges and two back-mounted canisters of oxygen. If Valteorians are exploring an unknown planet, they will need the two canisters of oxygen. In the case of invasion forces, these armours may be mounted with a backpack that can store extra munitions and rations.

Spatial Variation � These armours are made up three layers of pure Quimarius. The suit also has chemical protection. It is similar to the Planetary Variation but, it features two mini jets that help the Valteorian to move about in space and a helmet with an in-built comlink that covers the entire head. This helmet is also linked to the oxygen canisters.

Scuba Variation � Although the Valteorians can breathe underwater, these suits can protect them from chemicals, radiation and, of course, blaster shots. These armours feature most of the things in the planetary variation but, in this variation, these suits feature mini propellers for better manoeuverability and speed.

Vehicles Speeder bikes � Not commonly used, these bikes were built for patrolling long distances in a short amount of time. This lightning fast vehicle has caused the deaths of many careless recruits who did not watch where they were going. A light blaster is located at the bottom of the chassis to provide some means of protection.

Assault tanks � Assault tanks are most commonly used to destroy armoured enemy convoys, enemy vehicles and enemy structures. These powerful tanks have shields and have an armament of a single medium blaster cannon, two swiveling repeating blasters. Tanks are normally piloted by three Valteorians. These tanks can, however, be very susceptible to electro-magnetic pulses as they are repulsorlift craft.

Torpedo Support Platform � Torpedo Support Platforms or TSPs are used to provide artillery support to the battlefield. These mobile platforms need to deploy in order to use their torpedo launchers. When deployed, the TSPs will activate their shielding system which protects them from being attacked when deploying. This ability compensates for its slow manoeuverability and speed. These TSPs are also invulnerable to EMP attacks because they are wheeled vehicles and come into direct contact with the ground.

Mobile Command Tank � A lumbering tank with wheels. It can deploy into a miniature base that comes with six heavy repeating blasters that can take apart any enemy. It also has its own shields.

Artillery Support Tank � This tank has a huge howitzer cannon that fires mini neutron shells at enemy units as far as 60 km. This tank is, however, susceptible to enemy fighters� attack as they have little armour.

Heavy Assault Tank � This tank has ten wheels which spin independently, allowing out to turn or brake in any direction with ease. Its armaments include two blaster cannons located at the front, two torpedo launchers at the side of the chassis, one anti-armour blaster cannon atop the hull and heavy repeating blaster cannon located at the top of the hull. This lumbering beast of war can hold up to thirty Valteorian soldiers.

Assault Dropship � This dropship can hold up to fifty Valteorian soldiers. It features two turrets which allow soldiers to shoot down attacking enemies or for clearing the landing zone.

Ray I Class Submersible � This is a tiny manta ray-like that is used as an underwater patrol vessel. It uses a �Disabler (P)� Pressurised Ion phaser and a pressurised blaster beam. It also utilises a deflector shield.

Ray II Class Submersible � This is much like the Ray I Class except that it has two torpedo tubes and stronger shields. It comes with an extra pressurised blaster beam and twenty photon torpedoes. Used commonly as a deep territory patrol vessel.

Planets (Important ones only) Valteoria Prime � The homeworld and the centre of the Valteorian Empire. The Emperor himself resides with Akeru City, the second largest underwater city on the planet. Valteorian Imperial Guard Headquarters is located here, on Cideria Island. An astonishing number of twenty ship yards orbit this planet, producing up to forty starships a year. Imperial Guards are trained here too.

Valteoria-Three � The trading centre of the Valteorian Empire. This planet houses underwater farms which breed Celeon Sea bulls and Indarshi Lobsters. Food is then gathered and sent to other planets. Traders of other species also come here to trade all sorts of items for valuable bars of Quimsonia.

Valteoria-Five � The military centre of the Valteorian Empire. This planet is dotted with military bases and war factories. Prisons are also built here so that the convicts can never run as the entire planet is filled with military personnel only so, it would be very difficult to get of the planet. Dozens of shipyards and starbases orbit the planet.
